Axom Sarba Siksha Abhijan Mission, Dibrugarh Text Box: The Residential Bridge Course is an intervention for bringing the out of school children of 10-14 years age group to the fold of elementary education. In Dibrugarh district, a total no. of 4 Residential Bridge Course Centres have been operationalised with tenure of 1 year for each batch. The formal curriculum recognised by Govt.of Assam is treated as based curriculum for the RBC. Basic teaching– learning materials like pen, pencil, slate, eraser, school-bag etc. is provided to the residents of this school. Food and lodging is also provided to the children. Text Box: ** To ensure the achievement of learners, IT equipments like Computer etc. have been provided to the RBCC with due support from a trained para teacher. ** A television set with Dish TV has been provided to the RBCC so that the students can keep themselves up to date with the current events and happenings around the world. ** Musical Instruments like Harmonium, Tabla, minor percussion etc. have been provided to the RBCC to trace out and enhance the vocational potentials among the learners. ** Uniforms, shoes, chappals and all necessary belongings are provided to the learners as a part of free elementary education to all.
